GW and software developers

I mentioned enjoying Dawn of War the other day and within about ten seconds four of my colleagues mentioned that they have or still play GW products. The chap who sits next to me is a 'hobbyist' and paints. Bloody hell does he paint:

[YT] Turing machine

This is a wonderful little project where a guy has built a turing machine.

It functions the way Turing designed it with a long tape on a motorised reel a read (line array camera), write (dry wipe marker attached to a servo), and erase head (a bit of felt on a motor).

New Phone?

Okay so I've finally got to the point where I can wait no longer. The huge brick in my pocket has to go. Yes Fish you may get your P990i back in time for it to become a collectors item.

O2 have offered me a 32GB iPhone for 225 quid.

Firstly is there any better phone currently being offered by 02? http://shop.o2.co.uk/mobile_phones/Pay_Monthly/all_phones/al...

RPG Heroes are Jerks

Even with the more recent focus on morality in RPG's you still roam the world stealing anything that's not nailed down and smashing open anything that looks interesting.

Brown Trousers Moment

[BBC Video] A less happy dog...

I've never seen one. You can tell from it's reaction that it's been in there before.

Anyone caught putting a dog in one of these should be shot, beaten, and THEN put in there themselves...

More about the terrifying Digital Economy Bill from RPS

I may be ranting on this thing a bit today but it's worth making a fuss about.

RPS have a good run down of just how horrific this bill is and wide reaching it is. The very idea of giving Mandleson and his industry backers unlimited powers with no oversight to do what every they want about file sharing is terrifying.

[yt] Funny video about the current Digital Economy Bill

A funny video laying out the industries arguments for the current move towards a UK firewall like china has and the roving internet death squads that will cut you off for anyone nearby downloading copyrighted stuff. The British Phonographic Industry basically wrote this bill and are using these same tired arguments "Home taping is killing music" style to prop it up.

Happy birthday Evil Matt
