Right, this Steam malarky.
It's fairly obvious that Steam games are going to be played at Fishcon, and I suppose I'd better get sorted on getting some installed. I have my new graphics card arriving on Tuesday, so then I can work on getting some games installed and running.
Given that I have no Steam/Valve games at all I suspect that

is a fairly good deal (key ones are Left4Dead, TF2 and Portal, though I also finally get to get rid of my old HL/CS discs).
Do I need to do anything in particular with regard to making sure that using hacked programs is not an issue?

You can register your old HL/CS disks to your steam account. Then when you purchase the pack the duplicates will be giftable to another account.
