A mate of mine wants to set up a website to show off and maybe sell some of his artwork. Nowt fancy required... Just a halfway decent gallery and as mentioned maybe a way of flogging some of his wares. A "contact me" button may well do the trick.
Anyone available to have a nose? Also how much would it cost?

Before going down the
Before going down the bespoke route, has he considered something free like Blogger? It's pretty easy to whip up a header graphic to personalise it, and it makes updating a doddle. For a gallery, Picasa would integrate well.
If he wants a funky domain, then he just has to buy one cheap and get it pointed (which most domain sellers do for free).
