I really need a new phone having seen fish's HTC hero I certainly want something similar but I just don't like the chin on it.

Shame the above is window based only. How difficult is it to add android to a phone, ie change the phones OS?

I'd be extremely surprised if you could get Android working on a Windows phone. All the HTC Android phones have the chin for some reason, so you'll have to look a bit further afield.
Personally, I think the Motorola Droid is the one to go for if you can wait a month or two.
The Nokia N900 looks pretty nice too, although it's not Android (it's Maemo, which is another linux based phone OS.)

I've been a bit suspicious of Samsung phones ever since I started drinking with a bunch of their mobile phone development team. Of course they're mostly all at broadcom now, so Samsung might be a reputable company again... :)

I'm rather impressed with
I'm rather impressed with the spec of the HTS HD2 like the size of the screen and more importantly the look of the thing. Truth is if I could I'd try to get an Iphone.

You're in the same place I am. Android is cool because it's not that bunch of cunts Apple (who will never open iPhone/iTouch up - ever) and torn because of the chin handsets. I like HTC but I want a handset without a fucking chin, thank you.

Yeah I'm just sat here thinking bring this phone out with Android you bastards. I just dont think the Hero looks cool enough for a phone when compared to say the Iphone. The HD2 looks ace though.
