New Phone?

Okay so I've finally got to the point where I can wait no longer. The huge brick in my pocket has to go. Yes Fish you may get your P990i back in time for it to become a collectors item.

O2 have offered me a 32GB iPhone for 225 quid.

Firstly is there any better phone currently being offered by 02? http://shop.o2.co.uk/mobile_phones/Pay_Monthly/all_phones/al...

Whilst I know the shortfalls of the Iphone i was rather impressed by a recent customer service experiance; a friends Iphone recently broke and I was with them in the Apple Store for a whole 10mins whilst the screen was changed for them, find me another phone with this level of customer service support? It was a hello there ah your screen is broken, let me replace it for you, no do you have the recepit can you please press 5 to talk to this bloke in Indian.

Do I really need 32GB over the 16GB its about 60 quid difference?

Thoughts & suggestions welcome, bitching about Apple not so much.

1) How much is the contract

1) How much is the contract per month?
2) What is the minimum period?
3) What are you going to use it for?
4) Wouldn't know about customer service for Nokia...all the ones I have had have never broken

1) Contract monthly cost is

1) Contract monthly cost is irrevent I don't pay the bill.
2) Its a 2 year contract with an option of a new handset at 1year.
3) Making phone calls, checking the web.
4) I've had Nokias that have also have had Sony's that have.

Its more the problem of 02 having shit choice of handsets, which is a shame. Not even a half decent android phone.

Do you have to pay for the

Do you have to pay for the new handset after a year?

I'd never pay for a phone, even if I had the contract paid for me. Unless you need something very specific (which you don't) I'd get the cheapest that met the bill (I'd also get a Nokia, as they are bullet-proof, something I can't say about Sony's, as I've seen several people kill theirs).

Even without the contract £225 is nearly £20 a year until the new handset, which is more than you would pay in total for other handsets including the contract.

Personally, I'd get the Nokia X6, which is the next model up from the one I currently have (Nokia 5800, which has taken 8 months of punishment since I had it...including 5,000 miles in a non-waterproof pocket while cycling in the UK).
