Wireless Modem/Router Recommendations

Current Wireless Modem/Router is on the fritz, so currently looking for a new one. Does anyone have any recommendations, looking for reliability and signal strength as main areas.

Needs to compatible with ADSL G.992.1 D.GMT
wireless 'g' standard as minimum as all current kit is 802.11g standard

You can get these triband

You can get these triband ones now that can offer b,g and n channels at the same time. I use a Netgear N speed router and have had no problems at all. The admin panel is brilliant, accessed via a web page served by the router.

Any particular model? I see wildly varying reviews for the Netgear N routers

I have been eyeing up one of these:

It was highly recommended to me not so long ago.

I've had 4 different Netgear

I've had 4 different Netgear ones now; not one of them has been able to hold a reliable WiFi connection in my block of flats, and not one of them has lasted more than a year. The only real question is why it took me four of the things to swear I'd never buy another...

I too have heard nothing bad about the DrayTek ones, and that's what I'd be using now, if it weren't for the fact that o2 have provided a perfectly workable router for me.

I've always found that for the best WiFi connection, you can't beat a dedicated access point. they can be a bit tricky to find these days, but they're cheap and (in my flat at least) give a significantly better connection than multipurpose boxes. If you're using it in a less hostile environment (I have about 20 other access points in range,) you might find the difference less pronounced.

I have an ancient USR

I have an ancient USR one...I'm not even sure if they still make stuff, but it's been running for about 6 years now. Slow as a dog...I should probably get a new one...
