All the surface discontinuities on our map makes me really sad and I did try removing them with a bit of smooth but I don't think it's enough.
I propose a massive amount of map smoothing to prettify our map! I had a quick look around youtube this luncheon and found this:
The chap uses a series of brushes. The first is a delete brush (actually normal brush set to air, or material 0), which he uses to cut away a load of the flat face. The second is a sand brush, which is used because it falls to ground without leaving holes. He then uses a brush set to smooth. After that he changes the material from sand to dirt, fills with water and adds trees. Nice!

Masks are good because you only replace certain materials. If you mask to stone and dirt then you can change the blocks that are already there and it won't create any new ones because air is a block type of 0.

These videos give me hope that with creative flying-around, we can beautify out map in the ugly areas.

Have made some progress with the map errors. I've fixed near caffeine and under discovery. I've also started smoothing out by CSA. Next up with by cutting back the flat edge at South Castle.

I've managed to smooth out all the big nasties on the map except over by EMW's West Suspension bridge and the Golden Hamster.
EMW - what how do you feel about these bits? Would you like the tidied up? I'm pretty good at it now!
