Silver Suggestion - Add in headers for each section, page shortcuts at the top to quickly navigate to each type
Gold Suggestion - dynamic page allowing filter to display All sale items, or filter down to specific type. Options to sort by cost/time left/auctions winning etc etc
Nice. Agree with both of those. Will probably go Gold on the filtering/sorting. Remarkably little work as I can get the database to do it. Also (as you suggested), need a tooltip on the submit. Thanks mate, keep em coming.
Reply to Anonymous - Some mechanism to allow a player to repsond to an anonymous message, without actually knowing who the message is going to. On the public message board, a link on a message to "PM this person".
//added. This should apply to sending resources as well...would be awesome for blackmailing. Picture the scenario;
Anonymous: Send me 50 resources, or Joe Bloggs (who works here, married to her, has a dog called x) gets it
Player: Oh Bollox!
bronze suggestion - The front page should give some updates when you log in, for example
You have x new messages
y Auctions have completed since you last logged in
There are z new notices on the messageboard
There are (fuck, started too late in the alphabet) j new propositions in your alliance
Silver suggestion - Sections with recent (ie since last login) activity buttons should be highlighted until the user has visited them. This way no information will be missed.
Gold Suggestion - RSS feed for each user (secured with URL password) that provides updates from auctions, messageboards, messages, alliances etc.
Gold Suggestion - Another, global, RSS feed for "public domain" information. Eg, auctions finished, public messages posted, change of leader etc
A "home" or "pawn listing" button, to go back to your pawn listing. I know the Chonisis logo does this but it isn't very intuitive when there is a button for everything else.
A sneek peek of the a work in progress of the new pawn descriptor for the front page. Wasn't really happy with the wood one. This one is a matter of a few pixels larger. It's not finished. Really not finished but I was talking to Byrn about this over the email, so I thought I'd share.
Updatemungous! I've been going like the clappers recently and have made some great progress. Here's some stuff I've done.
[Pete] Auction screen - gold. Paging, sorting, nice and a list of your own bids.
[Pete] Reply to anonymous - with resources. Evil rotten shinanigans available.
[Fish] Paging on private messages, message board, alliance messageboard
[Fish] Home button
Coming later:
Updates on front page (including a private RSS), I really need to do the API for this.
Pawn list differentiation between owned and auction.
Many thanks, I am now building up towards a Beta game. Part functional test and part numeric test. I think I've got the numerics sorted but need to check.
CI3 - I've made a new compacted pawn screen where you can get a load of pawns on one 1024x768 screen. They're index card size and each one changes to meet its content. Not quite as neat if you have a lot of life inputs but not bad either.
I'm also going to have a thin strip across the top with the states of everything, including your last resource gain and so on.
CI3 - The other thing worth noting is that I'll be bringing CI3-on-a-laptop to Wales for people to have a play on the new stuff. After that, we'll run another little Beta where people will actually get a chance to play and shit.
Auction Screen 1) I reckon
Auction Screen
1) I reckon it would be better to have a single Submit button, and then allow multiple transactions to be carried out at once.
2) Suggest splitting the auction up so that Life Inputs types and Pawns are listed separately;

All great ideas. All will be implemented. I was going to go as far as Silver anyway. Like the Golds too.
Could we have a page or post
Could we have a page or post count on the message board so you can jump back or forward further than a page at a time

In the job list could you make a distinction between owned pawns and those still under auction.

All sounds very excellent. It's just a shame it's a game I WILL NEVER PLAY IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM
