The tech demo of photosynth a sort of panorama tool on steroids has been knocking around for a while now it is open for people to try it out themselves it is a bit slow at the moment but I threw a load of photos from byrn and my trip around the world with some degree of success (I suspect a dedicated set of photos from one location would work better but they were all I had at the time)

Just had a quick play with some stock photos, and fairly impressed. I'll try and do a full series at some point, and see what it can make of some decent data.
