SNG contender - Sand
This looks like it has Air Buccaneers fun vibes but might be a bit early to SNG it. Feels light on content. Also Clomper vibes!

Anyone interested in travelling into the Arctic Circle in March next year to see what Airecon is like?
It's an "analog gaming festival" based at the Harrogate Convention Centre (best known as the venue for the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest ), and a 15 minute walk from our house.
Could be crap...could be amazing. We were house-hunting up here in 2023 when it was on, and seemed well attended (even thoguh it was snowing). Last year I was in Spain (where it was not snowing), so missed it.
Remember war games the 80s movie with Matthew Broderick hacking a computer to run a war game and inadvertently nearly destroying the world in nuclear fire when people think its real
Great fiction classic Hollywood Peak 80s as the kids say demure but as it turns out perhaps not so fictional after all as only a few months after that films release a NATO exercise called Able Archer came terrifyingly close to causing a nuclear war.
I find old maps of places fascinating, and Harrogate especially is particuarly cool, as by most standards the place is quite new, and has grown rapidly
This very cool site allows you to look at moern maps and old maps (mainly from the 1800's to early 1900's) side-by-side.
There are a handful of films I can quote almost verbatim. Dodgeball, Princess Bride, the original Star Wars trilogy , and Clue!.
I'm a bit unfit. Not massively but there are some days where I just don't leave the house! I need an activity that's fun in of itself and isn't running because fuck that. What I did like about running is that doing couch to 5K gave me something of a challenge or a game to play. I'm on Strava and that's great for nerding out on maps, stats and so on but it's not really a game. I'm having to overlay my own shit onto it and that's what you have here.
This is mainly for Rob, in response to his "I can't get back to sleep" Facebook post last night.
After the success of the first bike build, back in winter, I've now done my second. Again it's in response to the new environment, though this time a bit more fun.
The FPV goggles appear to be a migraine trigger so I'll be saying goodbye to my drones. It's frustrating and numbing.
I could wait, I could try different things but I don't really have spare time to maintain them and tweak them as is the hobby. In the last 6 days I've had a total of 30 minutes to myself just before bed. Most days I just pass out exhausted.
