2024 Manifesto
2024 is hopefully going to be a year focused around settling into Harrogate. Previous years tend to end up themed;
Destiny 2 legacy collection free on Epic right now
Includes three of the dlc's shadow keep, Beyond Light (which includes the darkness power class Stasis), and witchqueen
Witchqueen is probably the best update they've done in recent years and the stasis abitties are a fun addition to the game althouggh they've fallen behind a bit with the more recent light class 2.0 powers and Strand that got added in Lightfall.
GTA 6 Trailer 1
So they dropped the GTA 6 trailer a day early due to the leaks
Not much there in the way of gameplay seems to be set in florida based on the number of gators airboats and the beach + neon theming (so vice city I guess)
The graphics look pretty good although taking that with a pinch of salt given this is early footage and a trailer but still its something rockstar usually manages to one up everyone on GTA5 and RedDead2 are both still amazing looking games many years after launch.

Adventures in eBay
As part of the pre-move house tidy, we've been getting rid of stuff that we simply don't use, or won't use in the new house. For may part, I've been going through the many crates of stuff I shipped here when we moved from Burghfield Common. I had a huge amount of stuff that had simply not been touched in a decade or more. I've ended up sticking a fair number of items on eBay...I assumed that most of it would go for pennies, however I've had a few stand-out blinders.
GTA 5 prime benefits to end this month
Last month to get free money as rockstar are pulling the plug on GTA and red dead prime benefits
Guess they're starting to eol GTA 5 so they can super monetize GTA 6 when it comes out.
And they already killed red dead online so no surprise there

I've been following some of these dodgy virtual real estate projects they are essentially a spin off of NFT's and just as scammy and there are loads of them including Earth 2, Sandbox, Axie infinity, mars something, and a whole host of others all of them scams in some way. They pop up on various channels that cover this crypto nonsense and basically get mocked to death and then defended by a bunch of speculators who've put their whole life savings into buying virtual Didcot and now need someone else to buy it for more or else they're fucked.
Descent : Journeys in the Dark - A Retrospective
For a few years in the 2000's, weekends consisted of a prolonged playthrough of the campaign mode of Descent : Journeys in the Dark. Byrnie, Evil Matt, Aggroboy and myself would meet up every weekend and play though 1-3 of the missions. Absolutely no idea how much time we sank into it, but I remember it being nails hard, even as the power levels of the characters went up and up. We must have sunk hours into it.
