SPP

Arma II might just be something we could Steam up like L4D

It's never going to be a replacement for an evening of shouting "help" but it sounds like the Co-Op stuff is brilliant. Most of Rissignol's complaints is with the team-based AI single player but co-op multiplayer is where it's at. Have a look and a think. Worth a go as a get-together evening game?

Steampunk Pirates - I had an idea

The things that stopped me dead with SPP were:

1. No good tools available.
2. UT3 went to the dogs.
3. Can't make characters.

Then it occurred to me:

1. Make it in Source.
2. Make it LEGO.

Now, as for LEGO, it would done the same way as the Star Wars games, where the characters and objects are LEGO but the environments would be normal. There are LEGO brick repositories online.

Breathtaking steampunk casemod

Love it! So much work went into it (about a year, aparently).

Water- a how to from teh internets

Stumbled on this little gem of a walkthrough:

UT3 Tutorial Videos are brilliant

Just watched the first few vids during lunch (they are on the ultimate package) and they are really very good. I think we might all need to watch them, somehow (talk about that elsewhere). Any idiot can make levels and stuff given the step-by-step attitude they take. They really do leave nothing out.

Going to start doing concept images tonight

If anyone has any particular favourites when it comes to steampunk art or have inspirations I might be able to draw upon. Perhaps you know of some manga (like Steamboy) then please linky linky on this thread.
