Apparently, Square Enix have a new xbox RPG coming out in a scant 10 days, which I knew nothing about. It looks pretty impressive though - I'll probably have to pick it up, even if I've still got weeks (if not months) left of Lost Odyssey.

Looks like the first pa game will be out next week on xbox live (and presumably their own distribution system for PC)

This is the usual games = evil trail from Fox this time focused on Mass Effect with it's "full digital interactive nudity!" which is the biggest load of bollocks I've ever heard having seen it it's the tamest thing imaginable. In fact one of the two possible sex scenes is actually shown in their news report.

I'm a fan of Biowares games since way back. I can vividly remember arguing the pros and cons of various party members for Baldur's Gate 2 while when we were at uni. Knights of the Old Republic was one of the first must have titles for the xbox and was a game I played into the ground.

A single player extravaganza. Mum kindly got me this for Christmas, I'm running it on my 4400X2 AMD with a 7800Gt and the standard 2GB of RAM. The initial settings were a little low (minimum spec), so I had a fiddle to improve the resolution and so on. I run it at 1280x1024, the native res of my monitor with no AA or AF set.

I have had a cash dump this month from work 'cos I was working various silly hours over the release weekend this month. Given that actually buying what I intended to is nigh on impossible (Currys digital is staffed by retards) I was looking at the next gen console bundles in HMV, they seem pretty good. The bare bones of it is:

Assassin's Creed is one of the most hyped games of the year right up there with Halo 3 and Bioshock. I got my copy of the 360 version yesterday. From the team that wrote the wonderful Prince of Persia:Sands of time this new game from Ubisoft Montreal puts you in the role of a assassin called Altaïr in the time of the third crusade.

As PA have revealed there is a lesbian scene in mass effect. This has upset the censors in singapore and will probably annoy the US who love gratuitous violence but one bad sex scene and the game must be burned (see GTA ;) ).

Mass effect is out next week and is shaping up well to be another bioware triumph
