I've been thinking about where we might take the next version of Lack-Of. What you're using now is really a proof of concept, a hurriedly hammered together community design with mostly stock features. However, I do like to move things on and have been thinking about the next version and what it might be like.

No-one but us can see them but it really helps when you don't have someone's number and you need to give them a bell. You can edit them by going to My Account in the menu and hitting edit.

I've set up a new tag called 'Keepers'. When you want to save something that's not already a blog or forum post, then tag it with 'Keeper'. This tag will allow it to appear under the menu item 'Keepers'. Click on Keepers now and you'll see the Blue Max LOL.

If anyone can think of better name, post it up!

There seems to be a problem with people getting a 'Precondition Failed' error. I think this could be due to a number of things:

There is some text in your post that has a Linux command, which when passed by the 34sp.com server tries to run it and failes. Check your post for spurious entries.

Just installing Google Analytics onto the site. I'll give access to the admin when I have your google account ids. Pete, I've added you, because that one was in my gmail address book. If anyone else wants it, then post your Google ID here.

When I come to do the design, I think I'm going to get rid of the menu on the left, move what's on the left onto the right and then have buttons along the top for the most useful stuff, like adding blog entries, links and the forums.

Admins will get a shortened Admin only menu. I'll do a pic when I get a chance to better explain it.

Drupal 5.3 has a problem where it doesn't send you to the new comment if the comment is on anything other than the first page.

So I've increased the comment page count to 200 until I can work out a way of installing the patch or any other updates.

I am going to start looking at skin options this week and I need some opinions. If you don't get your opinion in, then I can't take it into account. The skin will be the default skin for the site. You can always choose a different one if you wish.

Please post up your thoughts on the following:

1. Do you like the right hand side list of new stuff?

It's still there when you see something full screen but it was getting in the way.

I'm looking to consolidate my other web site and was wondering what the best way of doing this in Lack-Of. There are two options I can see atm:

1. Add the content as blog. I don't like this as it dirties the content of the blog, mostly personal stuff.
