I quite liked SimCity back in the day. It appealed to my accountancy gene. This Wii version looks like a chuckle but the video is terrifying: it depicts enraged children, grinning inanely while they destroy swathes of city. Creepy children.

Nintendo have recently started doing their equivalent to xbox live arcade or playstation network which they have titled wii ware. They have of course been doing virtual console for ages or as I like to think of it selling our otherwise worthless back catalogue to people who may already own it.

I picked up a game called Zack and Wiki - (some sub title I forget) for the Wii at the end of last week and it seems to me the best yet use of the Wii's capabilities to make a fun reasonably light game.

1) The fucking star power meter looks fucking mince and it now harder to at-a-glance see how much you have. Where is my throbbing light?!?!?

2) The shape of the controller is irritating as hell.

3) The in-between sections animations.

4) Fuck it, most of the animations actually. The lead singer bloke is just plain distracting.

Looks promising...

Winamp have this new streaming plug in for winamp that is currently in beta which supposedly allows you to stream music and video from a PC to X360 PS3 Wii and even a mobile when out and about.

I spent a lot of the weekend playing through Metroid Prime 3, the rest I spent failing to keep up to my target for NaNoWriMo.

I may have been kidnapped by aliens because I thought today was Thursday.
