Despite the fact all the major music and film people are slowly backing away from DRM and pretending they never had anything to do with this consumer harming technology in the first place, the EU wants to impose a europe wide "standardised" DRM on music films and games. This is probably one of their worse ideas and having a government sanction restriction of consumer freedoms is madness since DRM only hurts paying consumers pirates don't give a fuck since it takes all of five seconds to break these things or they get it before it is even encrypted.
