Assassin's Creed is one of the most hyped games of the year right up there with Halo 3 and Bioshock. I got my copy of the 360 version yesterday. From the team that wrote the wonderful Prince of Persia:Sands of time this new game from Ubisoft Montreal puts you in the role of a assassin called Altaïr in the time of the third crusade.
So I finally get a new game to play on my PS3, picking have been slim so far Heavenly sword was OK but very short and there has been very little since. So I'm playing Ratchet and Clank which looks amazing really pixar movie in real time at some points, if my TV supported HiDef it would probably look even more amazing.
I spent a lot of the weekend playing through Metroid Prime 3, the rest I spent failing to keep up to my target for NaNoWriMo.

I've been looking at some of the new ultra portables coming along with interest. I have for a while been interested in getting a nice portable laptop for doing stuff on the move that doesn't require me to take out a second mortgage or sell some of my organs on the black market.
For people like me that never get near shops to buy things in the day and only have places like tescos or sainsburys open when I'm not at work places like Amazon are useful.
I have a confession to make, I have been not so secretly spreading the guitar hero meme for over two years now, and it feels good. Every time I corrupt another soul with the dark fire of star power, bending their minds to the rock gods with promise of multipliers and whammie bars, I get a rush better than any drug known to mankind.
Last night Byrn and myself were off to a DVD night. As we were driving over, quite out of the blue we saw a naked man running along the side of the road.
