So, I have a Razer Nostromo (actually a Belkin n52te but same thing) and the only thing that bugs me about it is that the top row of keys is the "QWER" row, not "1234". This makes for some annoying working-out-how-to-switch-weapon moments.
I think I'm pretty much sorted for my trip to France next month...

Root Experience interactive theatre company are looking for a creative developer to work on their new project that brings RPG gaming out of the computer and onto the streets.

Phase 1 - I can't be fucked to build PCs any more....
I want to write a game. So does EMW. So we're going to. We've been doing a lot of reading, researching and playing with technology since the last Fishcon and we're making progress. We're going to make a game that is a cross between Artemis, FTL and any realtime top-down shooter (like Alien Breed). Players work together to keep their ship alive while exploring and killing.
I tend to get snatches of time during the weekend - 30 min here and there. I don't get to sit down and properly game until after 8pm, once Felix is in bed, we've eaten and the washing up has been done. Boring stuff. Life stuff. My proper gaming has been the engrossing Planetside 2, with it's ridiculous battles. When I get bits and pieces of time, I play Minecraft as I can do a bit and leave it.
...it was about 2006. The company were claiming that online shopping via phones was "the next big thing", and I poo-poo'ed it, as at the sime most "smartphones" still had a screen the size of a stamp...
So I got my Visa and got back to the US not without some drama. The visa turned up on monday about 4 hours after they promised it would appear but given it had been quite snowy and traffic hard I was willing to forgive that it also meant I was back from darkest Suffolk after Fishcon to receive my passport in person which required no form of ID.
So I’ve not written here in a while I’d mostly settled in to living in the US and for the most part that’s pretty similar to living in the UK (just with better weather) so I’ve not really had anything to say that felt like this was the place to say it.
I've been playing a lot of Planetside 2. A lot. I'll sit down for an hour at the end of a stupidly stressful day at work. As I play more, it has changed for me (for the better) and being in the Maniacs [MACS] outfit has certainly made it more fun.
