Got this last night. Thoughts on Nibbler's thread here

I've been on the look out for a practical mini laptop for a while, something that won't break the bank, is nice and small, and yet still vaguely practical for the odd bit of computing on the move.

And I'm feeling kinda tired.

I feel jet lagged. I think I should be somewhere in the middle of America. My body clock is seriously suffering after getting used to going to bed at 3-4 am everyday. It was a severe shock to the system when the alarm went off this morning!

The last ever gig for Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine was at London's Brixton Academy on 2nd November 2007. As a birthday prezzie, Dwain had bought me (and himself) tickets earlier in the year. Why have I left it nearly two months to write this up? To make a clear headed comment on the gig. But even now, it's not going to happen.

A single player extravaganza. Mum kindly got me this for Christmas, I'm running it on my 4400X2 AMD with a 7800Gt and the standard 2GB of RAM. The initial settings were a little low (minimum spec), so I had a fiddle to improve the resolution and so on. I run it at 1280x1024, the native res of my monitor with no AA or AF set.

Stuck in my head:

How the fuck did that happen?
I'll try some coffee. Maybe that'll shift it.

Finally, a major game engine has shipped with native support for Ageia's PhysX physics engine, the Unreal 3 engine version that drives UT3.

The only issue is that non of the maps that ship with it heavily use the physics engine. Ageia have shipped two levels that use moderate and heavy physics.

Multiple parties and gatherings, a chance to catch up with mates not seen often enough an opportunity to have a break from work and relax.

Give is to take as foist is to yoink.
